The washer isn't getting enough water to start or continue the cycle.

Try these free fixes first

Unplug the washer before opening any panel.

  1. Open both water taps fully.
  2. Check that the hot and cold hoses aren't kinked or squashed behind the machine.
  3. Make sure the drain hose isn't pushed too far into the standpipe (this can siphon water out).
  4. Turn the washer off at the wall for 1 minute, then restart.
