Unplug the dishwasher before opening any panel.

  1. Scoop out the suds from the bottom of the tub with a plastic cup.
  2. Take out the dishes and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the tub to calm the foam.
  3. Run a full cycle with no dishes and no detergent.
  4. Run one more empty cycle with real dishwasher detergent, and only ever use dishwasher detergent (never hand dish soap).
  5. Check that the rinse aid cap is closed tightly.
