The drain pump is blocked by debris or its cover is loose or missing, so water cannot be pumped out.

Try these free fixes first

Unplug the dishwasher before opening any panel.

  1. Unplug the dishwasher and scoop or sponge out any standing water in the tub.
  2. Remove the filters and rinse them under running water.
  3. Take off the pump cover under the filter (see your manual) and carefully remove any glass, seeds or other debris.
  4. Refit the pump cover until it clicks into place, then reinstall the filters.
  5. Plug back in and run a rinse cycle to check that it drains.
